UP-PGH, Jose M. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital sa Caloocan ilalaan para sa COVID-19

INIHAYAG ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na inaprubahan niya ang eksklusibong paggamit ng isang bahagi ng UP-PGH sa Maynila at Jose M. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital sa Caloocan City para sa mga pasyente ng coronavirus disease 2019  (COVID-19).

Ito’y matapos umapela ang maraming pribadong ospital na gawing “centralize all efforts and resources” laban sa deadly virus.

“Binigyan ko na ng [go-signal] ‘yung plano ng UP-PGH na gawin ‘yung isang gusali na exclusive COVID hospital,” sabi ni Duque sa panayam ng dzMM.

“Ang Department of Health naman, we will also convert yung ating Jose M Rodriguez Memorial Hospital sa Caloocan as a specialized COVID hospital,” dagdag ni Duque.

Sinabi pa ni Duque na plano rin ng gobyerno na gamitin ang Lung Center of the Philippines bilang isang ospital para sa COVID-19.

Idinagdag ni Duque na maglalaan ng 40 isolation rooms para sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19.
