Unang kaso ng COVID-19 naitala sa Quezon City

KINUMPIRMA ng Department of Health (DOH) na nasa ospital sa Quezon City ang isa sa mga pasyenteng nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“That’s already part of the 10 persons [who positive for the virus] we are talking about… This QC, the address would be the hospital’s address and not the address of the person,” sabi ni DOH Assistant Secretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire sa panayam ng CNN Philippines.

Nauna nang inihayag kagabi ng DOH na umakyat na sa 10 ang kabuuang bilang ng mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas matapos makapagtala ng apat na panibagong kaso.

Sinabi ng DOH na ang pampitong kaso ay isang 38-anyos na lalaking Taiwanese.

“The patient has a history of contact with a Taiwanese foreign national who visited the Philippines and tested positive for COVID-19 in Taiwan. The patient has no history of travel outside of the country and his symptoms started last March 3. He is currently admitted to a private hospital,” sabi ng DOH.

Ang pangwalong kaso ay isang 32-anyos na Pinoy na lalaki na nagbiyahe sa Japan.

“Onset of symptoms began on March 5 and the patient is currently admitted to a private hospital,” ayon pa sa DOH.

Ang pansiyam ay isang 86-anyos na lalaking Amerikano na may hypertension at bumiyahe sa USA at South Korea.

“Symptoms began on 1 March 2020 and the patient is currently admitted to a private hospital,” dagdag pa ng DOH.

Ang pansampu kaso ay isang 57-anyos na lalaking Pinoy na walang kasaysayan ng pagbiyahe sa labas ng bansa.

“He was reported to have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, however, DOH is currently investigating details of his exposure. The patient is currently admitted to a private hospital,” sabi ng DOH.
