Julie Bonifacio - March 09, 2020 - 12:20 AM

DUMULOG ang kilalang TV and radio host na si Jobert Sucaldito sa opisina ni DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) Sec. Silvestre Bello III sa Intramuros, Manila recently para ihain ang hinaing laban sa DZMM.

It took Kuya Jobert couple of months na pananahimik before desisyon finally na lumapit kay Sec. Bello kasama ang kanyang legal counsel and friend na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

So, parang naghabol sa yearend, e. Ako naman, siyempre, we have sources. A very reliable source whispered to me na totoong hiwalay.

Kinagabihan, he scolded Nadine sa radio program nila ni Papa Ahwel Paz sa DZMM, “If you watched that video, lumabas sa Facebook, e. ‘Anak, don’t do that. If you’re heartbroken natural lang ‘yon. There’s a proper way of handling that. Hindi mo kailngang magpakanatay dahil sa lalaki, and so on, and so forth.

“Siya ang pinangaralan ko because bata, e. Then, after New Year, Jan. 6, first day of work, Monday. Alam mo yung dating, maangas, Which I found disrespectful as artist,” paliwanag ng radio host.

“Pinangaralan ko siya. It’s wrong. Kung meron kang hindi nagustuhan, sabi ko sa kanya, why don’t you call him? Reach out to him. Tell your side of the story para mai-print niya.

Ang sabi ko, without them mabuhuhay kami.

That was a joke. Alam ko naman na medyo off. But, in our language, that was a joke,” aniya pa.

“Ang sabi niya, si Miss Jing Reyes daw was out of the country, she is our head (Integrated News & Current Affairs). Nagambala raw, nag-worry si Miss Jing because she was tagged by these fans. Dahil may nag-share daw nu’ng video saying that I was promoting suicide. Iba na ang dating, because out of context na.

“So, ang sabi niya, gumawa ako ng statement, an apology. So, sabi ko, okey. Tutal nasabi ko naman talaga kahit in jest. I texted my statement to her at inilagay nila sa DZMM at kineri ng CNN, ng TV Patrol,” kuwento pa niya.

Sumunod daw siya sa lahat ng ipinagawa sa kanya hanggang sa makatanggap ng letter from Ms. Capuyan informing him that he’s suspended as DZMM anchor (Showbuzz ) “until completion of the investigation on the matter.”

Sa sulat ni Kuya Jobert na isinumite sa office ni Sec. Bello, ipinaliwanag niya na wala siyang nilabag na rule or provisions sa “Manual” (ethic’s rule) since he conducted himself within the bonds of responsible journalism when he made the said commentaries.

Ang sabi pa sa sulat ni Kuya Jobert sa DOLE, “There was a violation of my constitutional right to due process when I was suspended without pay effective on the very same day that I came to know of the decision of the management to suspend my services.

“I was never given the opportunity to be heard despite claims by the management that I was requested to explain why my statements in Showbuzz should not be considered as a breach of.my contract and a ground for suspension and/or terminated.”
