Army reservist, 7 pa dakip sa P16.4M marijuana sa Mt. Province

ARESTADO ang walo katao, kabilang ang isang Army reservist, nang makuhaan ng halos P16.4 milyon halaga ng marijuana, sa dalawang checkpoint sa Bontoc, Mountain Province, Sabado ng gabi.

Unang naaresto ang Army reservist na si Joseph Petilona, 35; at mga kasama niyang sina Mark Kevin Guzman, 21, ng Quezon City; Nini Acio, 25, at Princess Gina Guma, 18, kapwa ng Angeles City, ayon sa ulat ng Cordillera regional police.

Nasagip ang kasama nilang 7-anyos na bata.

Naharang ang lima dakong alas-9:30, nang dumaan ang sinakyan nilang Chevrolet (conduction no. AAF-5941) sa checkpoint sa bahagi ng National Road na sakop ng Sitio Pak-kil, lower Brgy. Caluttit.

Isinagawa ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at pulisya ang checkpoint nang makatanggap ng impormasyon tungkol sa pagdaan doon ng sasakyan na mula Brgy. Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, at may kargang marijuana.

Nasamsam sa sasakyan ang 111 marijuana bricks at 36 marijuana “tubes” na may kabuuang bigat na 109 kilo at nagkakahalagang P13.08 milyon.

Nakumpiska naman kay Petilona ang isang kalibre-.9mm pistola at dalawang magazine ma may 20 bala.

Kasunod nito, dakong alas-11, apat pa katao ang nakuhaan din ng marijuana sa checkpoint sa bahagi ng National Road na nasa Sitio Lagcangeo, Brgy. Bontoc Ili.

Inaresto ang apat, na nakilala bilang sina Jerald Escanillas, 22; John Vincent Santos, 20; Princess Diana Kling, 21, pawang mga taga-Angeles City; at Ryan Joe Courpin.

Nakuha sa kanilang sasakyan (NBT-4669) ang 21 marijuana bricks at pitong marijuana “tubes” na may kabuuang 27.57 kilo at nagkakahalagang P3.308 milyon.
