ABS-CBN franchise renewal gumalaw na pero…

UMUSAD na ang aplikasyon ng ABS-CBN 2 para sa renewal ng prangkisa nito sa Kamara de Representantes.

Inanunsyo ni House committee on legislative franchise chairman at Palawan Rep. Franz Alvarez ang pagsisimula ng pagtanggap ng komite ng position paper ng mga pabor at tutol sa renewal ng prangkisa.

“The committee is now open to accept all the position papers from all the stakeholders and also ComSec (committee secretary), please communicate with all those who wish to submit position papers na ready na po ang committee na tanggapin po yung mga position paper ng lahat—anti and for ng renewal ng ABS-CBN para po sa mga darating na panahon, bago tayo magkaroon ng formal hearing, mapag-aralan na po natin lahat ng position,” ani Alvarez.

Sa ganitong paraan ay mas magiging organisado umano ang isasagawang pagdinig at makakapagsagawa na ng pag-aaral ang mga miyembro.

“Once ma-receive natin lahat ng position paper, mapag-aralan, maybe May or pinakamatagal siguro August… We are sure marami po talagang magsu-submit ng position paper and it will take time,” dagdag pa ni Pimentel.

Naniniwala si Alvarez na maaaring makapagpatuloy ng operasyon ang ABS-CBN hanggang sa pagtatapos ng 18th Congress sa 2022 o kung magdedesisyon ang Kongreso na huwag na itong i-renew.

Sinabi ni Alvarez na hindi na rin kailangan na magpasa pa ang Kamara de Representantes ng resolusyon para sabihin na dapat hayaang magpatuloy ang operasyon ng ABS-CBN dahil hindi naman nila ito ginawa nang mapaso bago pa ma-renew ng Kongreso ang prangkisa ng Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines at GMA 7.
