UPANG maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit, nais ng isang lady solon na pagbabawal sa pagdura sa pampublikong lugar.
Ayon kay Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo, maraming sakit ang maaaring maipasa sa iba sa pamamagitan ng laway kaya hindi dapat dumura kung saan-saan.
“Spitting in public should effectively be outlawed. It is highly unhygienic and risky,” ani Castelo sa House bill 3693. “Some bacterial species, such as the mycobacterium tuberculosis, the one that causes TB, are contagious and airborne.”
Sinabi ni Castelo na ang pagdura ay isa sa mga sanhi ng pagkalat ng TB.
Sa isang pag-aaral, 75 Pilipino ang nahahawa ng TB kada araw.
