SA sobrang hilig ni Khalil Ramos sa kape ay nag-aral siya kung paano gumawa ng alternatibong coffee sa UCC Academy Uptown BGC kasama ang girlfriend na si Gabbi Garcia.

Sa presscon ng bago niyang proyekto sa iWant, ang “Adik” na siyang unang episode sa drama anthology na “Ampalaya Chronicles”, tinanong ang aktor kung ano ang nangyari noong kaarawan niya, Enero 22.

“Simple lang ang selebrasyon, tinanong ako ni Gab kung ano ang gusto kong gawin, sabi ko, I wanna start the new decade by learning new things, isa sa alam niyang gusto kong matutunan ay alternative brewing of coffee kasi sobrang mahilig ako sa kape and we went to coffee school on the 21st and we had dinner naman on the 22nd,”saad ni Khalil.

Pero wala naman siyang planong magtayo ng coffee shop, “Mahilig lang ako as a consumer, pero ‘yung mga itinuro sa amin, parang puwede na kaming gumawa ng coffee shop kasi hanggang growing, itinuro. Very useful information but I don’t think magtatayo ako.”

Ano ba ang masarap na kape para kay Khalil at saan siyang coffee shop madalas pumunta.

“Single origin means from one certain place, very local, very Pinoy ‘yung produced na ginagamit nila, super excellent yung mga ginagamit nilsa, grown locally, sobrang sarap,” sabi ng binata.

Samantala, planong bumalik ni Khalil sa music scene, “Hopefully this year, I could release from Cornerstone. I don’t wanna leave (pagkanta) at all kasi gusto kong mag-perform pa.

“So, I need that extra hand, extra help and eventually if we start together, a team that could produce music for me, sana this year kasi gusto ko rin talagang bumalik sa pagkanta,” aniya pa.
At sa pelikula naman ay may under negotiation na hindi pa puwedeng banggitin ng aktor hangga’t hindi pa tapos.

“Hindi pa kasi final, this year I really wanna ride the momentum na puro pelikula, super enjoy doing films. The past year kung mapapansin ninyo ay doon ako nakikita sa pelikula kasi gusto kong i-test ang limits ko, to experience iba’t ibang character that challenge me,” saad ng aktor.

Pero bago ang concert/shows at pelikula ay napapanood muna si Khalil sa teleseryeng Make it with You nina Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano bilang si Sputnik.

“Si Sputnik, it’s my TV comeback kasi may last show was La Luna Sangre. For the show, Make it with You, generally it’s a light romcom feel siya so hindi naman super drama. I love the character, it’s a lawyer that’s one thing that I didn’t do (pa). Ang dami kong scenes and lines na very corporate ang dating na hindi pa ipinalalabas.

“Pero I would say na one of the more serious whose my character is, pero light ‘yung show, so everything is light, very heartwarming, very cute, very charming ang story, the lines, the script, I hope it works for everyone,” kuwento ng aktor.

Sa nasabi ring presscon natanong sa aktor ang tungkol sa renewal ng franchise ng ABS-CBN na mae-expire na sa darating na March.

“Siyempre napag-uusapan namin ng management though, ‘yung alam kong information, walang masabi sa akin as much as I want to know when the day comes, hindi ko maiwasang to feel anxious about it.

“Hindi lang kasi personal ‘yun, eh. I know so many people who work in ABS that I actually care for, they’re my friends, mga co-workers ko, co actors, production people. They’re potentially in danger losing their jobs, I feel for them and I really hope and find, compromise I guess sana it works kasi ang daming maaapektuhan, it’s really sad,” pahayag ni Khalil.

Ang panawagan niya kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte, “I really wish he gets to sit down with whoever in charge on this issue and the whole contract thing, I hope they find light in it kasi maraming maaapektuhan.”
