NANAWAGAN si dating Bayan Muna representative Neri Colmenares sa Social Security System na ibigay na ang second trance ng taas pensyon sa Enero 2020.
Ginawa ni Colmenares ang panawagan matapos na ianunsyo ng SSS na matatanggap na ng mga pensyonado ang kanilang 13th month pay.
“Sana naman ay ibigay na ng SSS ang P1000 pension increase sa Enero dahil kailangang-kailangan na ito ng ating mga seniors,” ani Colmenares. “Giving the P1000 pension increase in January 2020 is in fact long overdue because the subhuman level of the basic SSS pension had been aggravated since the implementation of the TRAIN law.”
Ayon sa Melbourne Mercer Global Pension Index 2019 ang retirement income protocol ng bansa ay 43.7 out of 100.
Ito ang naglagay sa bansa sa ikaapat na pinakamababa sa 37 bansa na pinag-aralan.
