SEA Games: Ilang laro sa Subic, Southern Luzon kanselado dahil sa bagyo

SUBIC FREEPORT ZONE – Dahil karamihan sa mga  outdoor at water-related sports ang lalaruin sa Subic at Southern Luzon, kinansela ng Philippine Sea Games Organizational Committee (Phisgoc) ang ilang events sa mga nasabing clusters dahil sa typhoon “Tisoy” (international name “Kammuri”) na pumasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility Martes ng umaga upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng lahat.

Siniguro naman ng Phisgoc na matatapos pa rin ang palaro sa Dec. 11. “We want everyone to prioritize their security during their stay here and wish that they continue to enjoy the 30th SEA Games with the authentic spirit of sportsmanship.” Ang sailing, windsurfing at modern pentathlon na gaganapin sa Subic ay iniusog sa Dec. 5 habang ang canoe, kayak, at traditional boat ay isasagawa na sa Dec. 6-8. Kanselado rin ang underwater hockey, skateboarding at polo events sa Southern Luzon hanggang bukas. Dec. 4. Hindi rim muna tumuloy sa training sa Maynila ang Sibol, ang national esports team. Ito ang unang beses na lalruin ang esports sa biennial meet kung saan anim na gold medals ang inaasahang hahakutin ng mga Pinoy. Samantala, tuloy ang aksyon sa beach volleyball, muay thai, pencak silat, surfing, sepak takraw sa magkakaibang lugar sa Subic gayundin ang surfing sa La Union at petanque sa Clark.
