Jennylyn napiling leading lady ni Dingdong sa Pinoy version ng ‘Descendants of the Sun’

CONFIRMED! Ang Kapuso Ultimate Star na si Jennylyn Mercado na ang makakatambal ni Dingdong Dantes sa Philippine adaptation ng Korean hit seriesd na Descendants of the Sun.

Si Jen ang napili ng GMA 7 management para gumanap sa character ni Dr. Maxine Kang na ginampanan sa original version ng Korean superstar na si Song Hye Kyo.

Sa Pinoy version nito, Dr. Maxine dela Cruz ang magiging pangalan ng karakter ni Jennylyn na siyang magiging love interest ni Captain Lucas na gagampanan nga ni Dingdong.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, kinumpirma ni Jennylyn ang good news at nangakong gagawin ang lahat para mabigyan ng hustisya ang role na ipinagkatiwala sa kanya.

Ipinost ni Jen ang kanyang litrato sa IG na may quote card kung saan nakasulat ang pangalan ng kanyang karakter sa DOTS.

Nilagyan niya ito ng caption na, “Hi everyone. Minsan lang ako magpost about my projects and hindi ko mapigilan ang sarili ko. I am super happy to portray Dr. Maxine De La Cruz of Descendants of The Sun The Philippine Adaptation.

“When I heard they started taping already and preparing for the soap, ako din nacurious kung sino nga ang napili para sa role. When I learned that it was me, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for GMA’s trust and also pressured since I know how big this project is. I promise I would do everything to give justice to the role. I won’t let you all down.
“Pangako.”

Ang iba pang makakasama nina Dingdong at Jennylyn sa Pinoy version ng Descendants of the Sun ay sina Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Rocco Nacino, Jon Lucas, Paul Salas, Renz Fernandez, Prince Clemente, Lucho Ayala, Chariz Solomon at marami pang iba.
