Miyembro ng frat na umano’y sangkot sa hazing sa UP Diliman nasawi

ISA sa umano’y sangkot sa insidente ng hazing sa University of the Philippines – Diliman ang namatay, ayon sa UP Office of the Chancellor.

Nanawagan ang Office of the Chancellor sa mga estudyante, faculty, at staff na tigilan na ang pagpo-post at pagfo-forward ng mga social media messages na may kaugnayan sa pagkamatay ng Sigma Rho Fraternity member.

“Let us do this out of sense of decency and respect for the privacy of the family,” sabi ng Office of the Chancellor.

“Sensationalism is itself a form [of] violent assault , and is not the solution to the fraternity culture of violence,” dagdag nito.

Ito’y matapos ipost sa isang anonymous account sa Twitter ang screenshot ng umano’y pag-uusap sa online ng mga miyembro ng UP Sigma Rho Fraternity na sangkot sa hazing.

Nangyari ang pag-uusap noong 2017.

Sinabi ng pamunuan ng UP Diliman na magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon at nangako na mananagot ang mga estudyante na sangkot sa hazing.

“Administrative action was initially initiated immediately after the hazing expose, towards the pursuit of justice for the hazing victims, and we will keep the public updated on these cases,” ayon pa sa Office of the Chancellor.
