Comedian Bayani Agbayani created quite a stir on Twitter when one handler posted a photo taken during the ABS-CBN Ball.
In the photo, naka-tuck in ang Barong Tagalog ni Bayani which infuriated the Twitter handler Paloma who wailed, “Binaboy ng baboy ang Barong Tagalog.”
With that, marami ang nag-react. Some sided with Bayani while others lambasted him.
“I don’t see anything wrong in Bayani Agbayani tucking his barong shirt. Formal pa nga yung naka tuck in.
Besides there’s no written rule on how to wear a barong. Some even wear barong and denim pants.”
“Fashion is all about self-expression. You can wear anything you want & carry it off well. To hell with what everybody else thinks.”
“It’s a lot less baboy than plunderers wearing it nicely (whatever nice means)!”
“Try to tuck in a suit and call it formal.”
