Beauty queen umaming may ‘alopecia’, napaiyak sa interview

KELLEY DAY

Napaiyak si Kelley Day sa introduction video para sa Miss World Philippines nang aminin niya ang pagkakaroon ng alopecia, isang medical condition that causes hair loss.

Aniya, isa sa mga advocacy ay “to raise consciousness for auto-immune diseases such as psoriasis and alopecia.” Kasabay nga nito ang pag-amin na meron siyang bald spot.

“This is the first time that I’m opening up about my alopecia situation where I have a bald spot at the back of my head. It took me almost a year ever since I found it in October 2018 to actually deal with it and only a couple of weeks ago have I started treating it properly,” pahayag ng beauty queen habang umiiyak.

“With my story I want everyone to feel encouraged about who they are. I want people to see that no one’s perfect. I think without Miss World PH I wouldn’t have opened up about this. So I want to make the most of this platform. So please help me make a change,” dagdag pa ni Kelley.
