NAKIPAGPULONG kagabi si Pangulong Duterte sa sinaktan at pinosasan na transwoman na si Gretchen Diez matapos siyang gumamit ng comfort room ng mga babae sa isang mall.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Sen. Bong Go na tiniyak ni Duterte ang pagsuporta niya sa LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning) community.
“The President said during the meeting that the Palace will work with both houses of Congress to push for the passage of a version of the SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression) Equality Bill that would protect the rights of individuals against discrimination,” sabi ni Go.
Si Go ang nag-ayos ng pagpupulong nina Duterte at Diez, kasama ang mga LGBTQ advocates na si Boobsie Savares, at 1st District Bataan Representative Geraldine Roman.
Matatandaang sinaktan at pinosasan ng isang security guard dahil sa kanyang paggamit sa CR ng babae.
Idinagdag ni Go na natalakay din ang posibilidad ng pagbuo ng komisyon para sa mga LGBTQ na siyang may hurisdikayon habang hinihintay ang pagsasabatas ng SOGIE bill.
