‘Siguradong durog-durog na si Ai Ai kung ngayon pa lang ang eleksyon’
SA isang naglalabu-labong bansa tungkol sa politika, mutual respect—we believe—should be a virtue.
Ayon mismo kay Ai Ai delas Alas, naroon ang kanyang suporta kay Senator-elect Bong Go as she believes the former SAP is no corrupt figure.
Bilang pagsang-ayon ito sa kuda ni Bayani Agbayani.
Kung nagkataong binitiwan ito ni Ai Ai during the campaign period, she must have been torn in shreds.
Tiyak na durug-durog siya sa mga netizens who believe otherwise.
But the elections are over. Nag-number 3 na nga si Bong Go, himself in disbelief at maging ang karamihan sa ating mga kababayan, myself included.
However, Ai Ai who’s less bashed these days has yet to take further beatings. Bong Go’s performance remains to be seen.
Pero kung sa ‘yun ang paniniwala ni Ai Ai (mula sa kaibuturan kaya ng kanyang puso, o sa ilong lang nanggaling?), so be it. That’s her opinion, and she could freely express it.
Huwag lang sanang i-impose ni Ai Ai ang kanyang paniniwala sa mga non-believers, ramming her belief down their throats na para bang dapat siyang paniwalaan. The same goes for Bayani. Theirs is probably a personal thing, huwag na silang mandamay pa ng ibang kaisipan.
To say that one is not corrupt (hindi lang para kay Bong Go ito) is not an overnight observation. Noong paratangan ang maraming politiko na nangungurakot sa kabang-yaman ng pamahalaan, thry did not carry out their “modus operandi” in one fell swoop.
Gusto tuloy naming isipin na kabisado ni Ai Ai ang likaw ng bituka ng mga pulitikong ipinagtatanggol niya shielding them from the public image na konektado sa mga umano’y anomalyang gawain. Super close siguro si Ai Ai to them or to their families as though meron silang cosmic connection na mahirap ipaliwanag.
Or possible rin kasing iba ang sinasabi ni Ai Ai from what lies deep within her heart. Nangyayari naman ‘yon to most of us who are unable to marry what our mind says and what our mouth utters.
Again, respetuhan lang ‘yan. But probably what ranks first is being true to ourselves.
