FB post ipinagkanulo ang hindi otorisadong biyahe ni mayor

ISANG mayor sa Batangas ang inireklamo sa Ombudsman matapos mabuko ang biyahe nito sa Estados Unidos dahil sa Facebook post.

Hindi umano humingi ng pahintulot San Pascual Mayor Roanna Conti upang bumiyahe sa Estados Unidos mula Disyembre 20 hanggang Enero 5.

Siya ay inireklamo ni Vice Mayor Antonio Dimayuga at pinaiimbestigahan sa Ombudsman dahil sa paglabag umano sa grave misconduct, gross ignorance of the law, at iba pang paglabag Local Government Code.

Inireklamo rin si Municipal Human Resources Management Officer Ronaldo Gonzalez Jr. na tumulong umano upang palabasin na otorisado ang biyahe ni Conti.

Ayon kay Dimayuga nalaman lamang nila na nasa US na ang alkalde dahil sa mga post na litrato nito at kanilang pamilya sa social media.

Isinama sa reklamo ang litrato mula sa Facebook ni Conti at kanyang mister na si dating PCGG commissioner at dating deputy administrator ng MARINA na si Nicasio Conti.

Sa ilalim ng Department of Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No. 2018-197, dapat ay naghain ng Official Leave of Absence ang alkalde bago ito umalis dahil ito ay “personal or private trip.”

Ang isinumite umanong Application for Leave ni Gonzalez para kay Conti ay walang pirma ng mayor at ni Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas.

Dahil walang official leave hindi umano mababawasan ang suweldo ni Conti.

“Despite respondent Municipal Mayor’s non-compliance of the proper procedures with respect to the filing of a duly accomplished leave of absence, Respondent Roanna Conti was still able to receive her full salary for the month of December …because respondent Gonzalez did not declare respondent Conti’s absence in her payroll,” saad ng reklamo.

Samantala, itinanggi naman ni Conti ang alegasyon laban sa kanya.

“I deny the allegations and find all the charges made by Mr. Antonio Dimayuga both amusing and baffling,” saad ng alkalde sa isang pahayag. “Perhaps it is only Mr. Dimayuga who is unaware of my authority to travel and leave, as approved by Governor Hermilando I. Mandanas.”

Sinabi pa ng alkalde na maaaring naghahanap lamang ng atensyon si Dimayuga at nais na muling maging importante.

“Nevertheless, we are not backing down on this baseless charge and we will face it head on as I know that my name will be cleared of Mr. Dimayuga’s circus accusations,” saad ng alkalde.

Maghahain umano si Conti ng reklamong perjury laban kay Dimayuga dahil sa mga kasinungalingan nito.

“I will file a perjury case against him on this since nothing can be further from the truth.”
