9M aso, 10% lang may bakuna, kakulangan sa anti-rabies vaccine problema rin

UMAABOT na sa siyam na milyon ang aso sa bansa at 10 porsyento lang dito ang nabakunahan.

Ang mas masakit, ayon kay House Minority Leader Danilo Suarez, kulang o walang anti-rabies vaccine sa mga ospital ng gobyerno.

“….yung isyu ng may nakagat ng aso walang gamot sa rabies ‘yung ospital. So, papaano ngayon ‘yan hindi naman natin alam talaga kung may rabies ang isang aso kapag nakakagat but ang point ko doon lalo na kapag summer ang mga bata naglalaro sa kalsada,” ani Suarez.

Nakaapekto na umano sa serbisyo ng mga ospital ng gobyerno ang hindi pa natatapos na 2019 budget.

“So that’s a risk in terms of the safety of our citizen na nakakagat ng aso considering that rabies is fatal.”

Dagdag pa ni Suarez sa susunod na Kongreso dapat ay tiyakin na sa paggawa ng susunod na budget ay nakapaloob ang pagbili ng sapat na gamot upang hindi magkaroon ng kakapusan sa suplay ang mga ospital ng gobyerno.

“The current lack of funds of public hospitals is due primarily to the delayed passage of the 2019 proposed national budget.”
