HINDI kukunsintihin ng Philippine Coast Guard ang mga tauhan nito na sangkot sa pangongotong.

Sa statement, sinabi ng PCG, isang sangay ng Department of Transportation, na pinangangalagaan nito ang integridad at reputasyon ng ahensya at suportado nito ang paglaban sa katiwalian.

“As civil servants and public officials, the unethical use of a public service position for personal advantage is regarded as a serious breach of duty,” saad ng pahayag.

Si Ensign Allison Tindog, Operations Officer ng Coast Guard District Palawan, ay nahuli sa isang entrapment operation ng National Bureau of Investigation sa Puerto Princesa City noong Martes.

Ang pag-aresto ay batay sa reklamo ng mag-asawang Dirk at Jessica Haring.

Ayon sa mag-asawa, humingi umano si Tindog ng P80,000 at P50,000 lagay para sa dokumento ng kanilang yacht.

“The PCG is conducting proper and thorough administrative investigation and at present, said officer is placed under preventive suspension immediately while under custody of the NBI.”
