Arjo walang paki sa death threats; tuloy ang ligaya kasama si Maine
PLAYING Harold in the three-act gay-themed play “Boys In The Band” back in college, may linya kami roon which goes, “In the affairs of the heart there are no rules.”
Kung malinaw pa sa a-ming alaala ang eksena, kasiyahan ‘yon sa bahay ng isang gay character where his gay friends of different types (magdyowa, openly gay, etc.) show up at the nifty party.
Ang linyang ‘yon ay hindi lang angkop sa sankabekihan as we’d like to think it’s applicable if not universal that encompasses all kinds of human relationships.
Bigla namin itong nahanapan ng konek sa bagong silang na ArMaine, not just reel but real romance sa pa-gitan nina Arjo Atayde at Maine Mendoza.
Lantaran na ito, nobody can stop it, hindi ng mga AlDub supporters who still entertain the thought that there’s hope for Alden Richards and Maine para totohanin ang nakikita nila onscreen.
Walang makakatinag kina Arjo at Maine. They won’t bend over the rules, dahil may batas bang nagbabawal sa kanila? Is there a law which prohibits two mature indivi-duals na magkagustuhan sa isa’t isa?
The only limitation there is to the ArMaine romance ay ang kanilang respective home networks. To those who find joy seeing them as a lovely couple, ipagdasal n’yo na lang na sa MMFF this year ay meron uli silang pelikula together.
If there are no rules in the affairs of the heart, lalong walang puwang most especially on Arjo’s part ang mga pagbabanta sa kanya at sa kanyang pamilya. These death threats shouldn’t bother him at all.
For one, issuing such need not be announced for all the world to know. Kung talagang tatambangan nila si Arjo o sinumang miyembro ng kanyang pamilya, the assailant or some trigger-happy gun-for-hire will just go on a shooting rampage.
But it’s better to be cautious and vigilant. Napakababaw naman kasing dahilan ang pumatay just because gumuho ang “kastilyong buhangin” ng ilusyon ng ilang AlDub fans at tuluyan nang inanod.
In a sense, masuwerte si Arjo for having found a girl who’s ready to face such adversities. Carebears ang hitad even if at stake ang kanyang career.
In the meantime, let Arjo and Maine keep playing beautiful music amidst outrage na hindi naman makakatulong in nurturing their relationship.
At sa ilang AlDub fans na nagngingitngit pa rin, tough luck.
