Joo Ji Hoon ng Princess Hours bida sa 1st Korean zombie series

KOREAN word of the week: “Gae sae kki” – Sa Ingles nangangahulugan ito ng “son of a bit**h”. Galing ito sa mga salitang gae, na sa Ingles ay “dog” at sae kki na sa Ingles ay “offspring” o “young”.

Mapapanood na ang first Korean zombie series na Kingdom, na pinagbibidahan ng Korean superstar na si Joo Ji Hoon, na nakilala sa Korean series na Princess Hours at blockbuster movie na “Along With The Gods.”

Ang Kingdom ay ikalawang Korean original series ng Netflix na siyang pantapat sa American zombie series na Walking Dead.

Umere na sa Netflix noong Enero 25 ang first installment ng Kingdom kung saan mapapanood ito sa anim na episodes. Base ang zombie series sa webcomic series na “The Kingdom of the Gods.”

Korea’s medieval Joseon period ang setting ng Kingdom na kwento ng isang crown prince na ipinadala sa isang suicide mission para imbestigahan ang misteryosong nangyayari sa kanyang bansa kung saan madidiskubre niya na mula sa mga zombie ang kumakalat na epidemiya.

Bukod kay Ji Hoon, na gumaganap bilang Crown Prince, kasama rin sa ginastusang zombie series na ito sina Bae Doona bilang Seo Bi, Ryu Seung Ryong bilang Jo Hak Jo, Kim Song Ho, Heo Joon Ho, Jeon Seok Ho at Jeon Seok Ho.

Unang inalok ang proyekto sa isa pang Korean superstar na si Song Joong Ki, pero inayawan niya ito. Ayon sa ulat, umaabot sa $1.78 milyon ang gastos sa kada episode ng Korean series.

Bumida si Ji Hoon sa dalawang installment na fantasy epic na “Along With the Gods,” na tinaguriang second highest grossing film sa South Korea. Una siyang nakilala sa drama series na Princess Hour kasama si Yoon Eun Hye na sumikat din sa Coffee Prince.
