MARAMI ang kumampi sa pag-disagree ni Anne Curtis when congress lowered the age of criminal liability to nine years old.

“Nakakalungkot isipin na ibaba nila ang criminal responsibility to the age of 9. At that age, they are still very much children. They still have a chance to change their ways if they happen to cause or get into any trouble instead of being sent to jail & sentenced as an adult.”

Many were happy to see Anne’s point.

“Finally someone with clout has spoken up and taken a stand on the issue. Thank you, @annecurtissmith for using your influence to promote social awareness! You’ll be a great mom someday bec of your empathy and belief in the innate goodness of these children #ChildrenNotCriminals.”

“Sa Pilipinas, imbes na hulihin ang mga Drug Lord, ang pinaparusahan at pinapatay ng walang kalaban laban ay ang mahihirap lang, at imbes na hulihin ang mga SINDIKATO, ang paparusahan ngayon ay ang mga bata. Ang husay ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas.”

“Totally agree. Our college thesis is about this and most of the children we interviewed are VICTIMS. Victim of poor parenting and guidance, lack of education and security. Poverty is also main reason why children commit to varoius crimes. THEY NEED HELP, NOT JUDGEMENT.”

“Thank you for using your platform to voice this out!!! I hope many local personalities would follow.”
