SINIMULAN ngayon ng bicameral conference committee ang pagtalakay sa panukalang 2019 national budget.
Ayon kay House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rolando Andaya Jr., ang unang ilalatag ang ground rules para maging maayos at transparent ang pagtalakay sa budget.
“This refutes the repeated lies peddled that the House wants a re-enacted budget when all our actions prove that we want a new one,” ani Andaya.
Ang bicam ay isinagawa matapos na aprubahan ng Senado ang panukalang P3.757 trilyong budget sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa noong Lunes.
“As to their amendments, we are confident in finding a common ground that will benefit the people and fund the progress that they deserve. No healthy difference on policy questions is irreconcilable,” dagdag pa ni Andaya. “I have made my position clear. The House contingent will push for full transparency in the bicameral conference deliberations. We know that our senators want the same.”
