DALAWANG beses nagbuga ng abo ang bulkang Mayon kaninang umaga, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Una itong pumutok alas-8:17 ng umaga at umabot ng 600 metro ang taas ang abo na binuga nito.
Nasundan ito alas-8:28 ng umaga at umabot ng 200 metro ang taas ng ibinuga nitong abo.
Nananatili ang Alert Level 2 o “moderate level of unrest” sa bulkan.
“DOST-PHIVOLCS reminds the public that sudden explosions, lava collapses, pyroclastic density currents or PDCs and ash fall can still occur and threaten areas in the upper to middle slopes of Mayon.”
Patuloy ding ipinatutupad ang anim na kilometrong Permanent Danger Zone sa lugar.
“People residing close to these danger areas are also advised to observe precautions associated with rock falls, PDCs and ash fall.”
