KARYLLE AT ZSA ZSA PADILLA

Kuwento ni K, “I was listening to the first, first song I ever wrote. It says na parang, ‘We don’t have a perfect life, but I know you’ll always be there for me when my world falls and vice versa.’

“I played on my Spotify kanina. Sabi ko, ‘Aba, nagpaparamdam.’ She’s my first love talaga and siya talaga ‘yung naging first inspiration ko for a song, so I guess it comes back to that whatever happens,” pagbabalik-alaala ng It’s Showtime host.

“Kasi she’s okay naman, she just came from Cebu she did like a crash course on farming. But she’s into that (farming) for the whole of last year so, I can’t say that she’s doing it that now. It’s something she’s really been planning it as their happy place (ni Conrad Onglao) as I’ve always see them and it’s my first time to go to the farm, a couple of weeks ago.

“And super ano, ang ganda, ang saya. I’ve been reading a book then about happy older people, ‘yung mga septuagenarian of Japan. Farming is really part of that cycle, eh.

Kuwento ni K tungkol kay Jeremy, “What I love about him, the whole artistry. He’s very young, he’s making his own music, clear, very honest. I just love the honesty and the confidence that he brings forth. It’s very fresh for me, especially to work with somebody so young. I really like learning about people also from other culture.”

I really enjoyed Karylle’s kind of music. But the first time I listened to ‘It’s Christmas Time,’ you can feel the rawness of Karylle, like, she’s trying to deliver the message. I can relate to that kind of music ‘coz I really like jazz. In Indonesia, my songs are more into pop jazz, so I can really relate to ‘It’s Christmas Time,’ and I prefer Karylle singing
it.”

At dahil malapit na ang Pasko ay inimbitahan siya ni Karylle na subukan itong ipagdiwang sa bansa, “I love to but I can’t because I want to be with my family there in Indonesia,” say ng binata.
