11 bagong kaso ng kanser naitatala kada araw

INAPRUBAHAN ng Kamara de Representantes sa ikalawang pagbasa ang National Integrated Cancer bill na naglalayong pagandahan ang serbisyo sa mga pasyenteng may kanser.

Umaasa si Antipolo City Rep. Chiqui Roa-Puno na agad na agad na maisasabatas ang House bill 8636 lalo at ang kanser ang ikatlong sanhi ng pagkamatay ng mga Filipino mula pa noong 2004.

Araw-araw ay 11 bagong kaso ng kanser ang naitatala sa bansa at kada oras ay kinikitil nito ang buhay ng pitong matanda at walong bata.

“The Big C does not discriminate whatever your race is, your income level, your educational attainment, whether or not you are married and with kids. We have seen this dreaded disease ravage families. It is high time we address this issue and provide our citizenry with the means by which to defeat it.”

Mula 2012, 189 sa bawat 100,000 Filipino ang nagkakaroon ng kanser at maaaring mas tumaas pa ito dahil may mga kaso na hindi naiuulat.

“It aims to squarely address these distressing developments by establishing an integrated, multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral cancer control program nationwide,” ani Roa.

Sa Asya ang Pilipinas ang may pinakamataas na mortality rate ng breast cancer at prostate cancer.

Ang kaparehong panukala ay naipasa na ng Senado sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa noong nakaraang linggo.
