INIHAYAG ni Pangulong Duterte na nakatakda niyang italaga si Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo bilang bagong Press Secretary.
“I’m going to but if — I’m going to reorganize Press Secretary. Kanya lahat. Panelo if he — tingnan muna natin. Kung makakuha ako ng Presidential Legal Counsel then if he likes the job,” sabi ni Duterte sa isang press conference.
Idinagdag ni Duterte na tatanggapin niya ang pagbibitiw ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na nauna nang nagbantang aalis sa pwesto.
“Kaya naipit nga si Roque. It’s not my fault actually. Sabi niya tatakbo siya. Hindi siya tatakbo. Tatakbo. Tapos sabi ko — namili na kaagad ako. Para walang paralysis sa flow ng functions. Ngayon na hindi na siya tatakbo, hindi ko na alam kung saan siya ilagay. Eh pa-ano-ano siya eh. Eh ako naman, I did not wait a minute longer to — sabi ko, ikaw diyan, ikaw muna diyan, ikaw muna diyan. So nasabi ko na doon sa mga tao,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
Aniya, itatalaga naman si Communications Secretary Martin Andanar bilang Consultant.
Samantala, inihayag ni Duterte na anim na miyembro ng Gabinete ang magbibitiw para tumakbo sa 2019 elections, kabilang sina Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano,na tatakbong kongresista at Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, na tatakbong senador.
