2018 Bb.
Sa kanyang Instagram account, ibinandera ni Karen kung paano nag-propose ang kanyang BF after five years of being together.
“We got engaged last June, but we have not planned anything pa. We have not organized the wedding, wala pa. My focus is really on the pageant. Actually, he’s very supportive, pumunta siya rito when I joined Binibini. And pupunta uli siya sa January for the pageant kasama ang family niya,” kuwento ni Karen nang makachikahan namin sa presscon ng Miss Intercontinental.
Of course, grabe rin ang pressure na napi-feel niya sa pag-represent sa bansa sa Miss Intercontinental, “The pressure is there because lagi tayong runner up sa Miss Intercontinental.
“Basta I promise that I will do my best, I don’t wanna expect anything, gusto ko lang mag-enjoy but I am training talaga, gagawin natin lahat,” sey ng dalaga.
To be honest, I’m half. I was born and raised in Bohol.
“Marunong akong mag-Bisaya, mag-Tagalog. Isn’t that Filipino na Filipino? Yes, I have Australian blood but my heart and my roots is Filipino,” aniya pa.
“We did have a very difficult time finding a venue. The reason why there’s a trouble with the venue is because in two years, the Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo and in Japan. They’re very advanced and organized,” paliwanag niya.
I just wanna clarify that the host country is still Miss Intercontinental-Japan.
“And we are staging it here, so actually, you have nothing to worry about,” chika ni Kumi na may Filipino blood din pala dahil Pinay ang kanyang nanay.
