OFW nawalan ng P600K sa dating scam; mga suspek arestado
PITONG miyembro ng sindikato na umano’y bumibiktima sa mga naghahanap ng pag-ibig sa pamamagitan ng dating scam ang naaresto sa isinagawang entrapment operation, sabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde.
“Operatives of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) and the Quezon City Police District captured the suspects in Quezon City,” sabi ni Albayalde.
Sinabi ni Police Chief Supt. Marni Marcos, Director ng PNP-ACG, na gumagamit ang mga suspek ng pekeng account ng isang Angelica Palanog, na naging karelasyon sa online ni Frederick Egea, isang overseas Filipino worker (OFW).
Gamit ang pekeng account na Palanog, humingi ang sindikato ng pera kay Egea sa loob ng dalawang taon, na umabot ng P600,000, ayon kay Marcos.
Idinagdag ng pulisya na hindi nakita ng personal ni Egea si Palanog.
