Marikina City isinailalim sa state of calamity; klase sinuspinde na rin

NAGDEKLARA ang lokal na pamahalaan ng state of calamity sa Marikina City dahil sa mga pagbaha dulot ng mga pag-ulan dahil na rin sa bagyong Josie at ng Hanging Habagat.

“We declared a state of calamity because it has been raining hard for a week now. Many residents have not been able to go to work because of flooding,” sabi ni Marikina City Mayor Marce Teodoro sa isang panayam sa DZBB.

Kasabay nito, sinuspinde na rin ang klase sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Marikina bukas dahil pa rin sa mga pagbaha.

Ganap na alas-9:40 umaga, umabot na sa 17.4 metro ang lebel ng tubig sa Marikina River dahilan para ideklara ng lokal na pamahalaan ang ikalawang alarma at hiniling sa mga residente na magkusa nang lumikas sa mga itinakdang evacuation center.

Ganap na alas-4:15 ng hapon, umabot na lamang sa 15.9 metro ang tubig sa  Marikina River.
