Masaya kami para sa magkasunod na Best Supporting Actress win ni tita Odette Khan, na mas gusto naming tawaging Tita O.

During the FAMAS awards night, para kaming matagal ng magkaibigan sa naging tsikahan namin though noon lang kami nagkakilala. Matagal na kaming nagbabatian sa aming mga programa sa DZMM since isa siya sa masugid naming listener/tagapanood at talagang aminadong isang DZMM fan.

“Fan na fan ako ng tawa mo. Matagal ko nang hinihintay na makilala ka in person dahil lagi mo nga akong binabanggit every time na babatiin mo sina Perla (Bautista), Celia (Rodriguez), Glo (Romero), at iba. Nakakatuwa ka,” sey pa nito sa amin.

At ngayong nanalo na naman siya ng same award for URIAN, para uli sa “Bar Boys,” feeling nasa cloud 9 nga ang beteranang aktres na mahigit tatlong dekada ang hinintay para manalo ng acting awards.

“As I’ve said, ayokong bilangin ang taon, only the blessings. And now, with this, salamat talaga. Ang bait ni God,” sey nito sa aming phone conversation after ng URIAN rites.

Patuloy na pinasasalamatan ni Tita O ang pinagpipitaganan nating si dating Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago dahil ito nga ang ginampanan niyang karakter sa naturang pelikula, “I am forever grateful to her,” sey pa nito.

Congratulations Tita O, at sa iba pang winners ng URIAN.

Gaya ng FAMAS, kakaiba rin ang winners nila pero walang nang-iintriga na hindi deserving o walang karapatang manalo ang mga napili ng mga Manunuri.
