AABOT sa P5 hanggang P7 ang nais na ipatupad na taas pasahe ng Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT1) .
Sinabi ni Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) Chief Executive Officer Juan Alfonso na umabot na sa P8 bilyon ang nagagastos para sa pagsasaayos ng mga istasyon ng LRT1.
“The reason we want it, is allow us to continue the level of service. We spent almost P8 billion for the improvements, and for us to recuperate that investments,” sabi ni Alfonso.
Idinagdag ni Alfonso na kinakailangan ang taas pasahe para na rin mabayaran ang mga obligasyon sa pagsasaayos ng LRT1.
Sakaling maaprubahan, epektibo ang dagdag pasahe sa Agosto 2018.
“While we are building Cavite extension, we are already investing in the new system without the benefit. We are investing some more, we are not recovering anything for the next two and a half years,” sabi ni Alfonso.
Pumapalo ang pamasahe sa LRT1 mula P15 hanggang P30 na bumibiyahe mula sa Roosevelt station hanggang Baclaran station.
