“Walk vs poverty” ng Iglesia ni Cristo nakapagtala ng world record

MAHIGIT isang milyong miyembro ng Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) ang nagtipon sa kahabaan ng Roxas Boulevard at Rizal Park sa Maynila para tangkaing makapagtala ng limang Guinness world record matapos ang isinagawang charity walk.

Base sa pagtaya ng Manila Police District (MPD), umabot sa 1.5 milyon ang lumahok sa pagtitipon.

Nakapagtala ng bagong Guinness rekord ang INC matapos ang “largest human sentence” sa charity walk na tinaguriang “Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty”.

Umabot sa 23,235 ang nakibahagi para makabuo ng pangungusap na “PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF IGLESIA NI CRISTO,” na kung saan natalo nito ang dating rekord na hawak ng india India, na nagawa naman ang “You can you will” na pangungusao noong 2016 na may 16,550 kalahok.

Tinangka rin ng INC na makapagtala ng apat na iba pang Guinness record: ang “largest picture mosaic formed by people, largest charity walk in a single venue, most nationalities in a charity walk, at largest charity walk in multiple venues”.

Nagtipon ang mga miyembro ng INC sa 1.6-kilometer charity walk ganap na alas-6 ng umaga sa Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) sa Pasay City.
