Joma maaari nang umuwi sakaling magsimula muli ang peace talks-Du30
SINABI ng Palasyo na maaari nang umuwi ang founding chairman ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) na si Jose Maria Sison sakaling magsimula na muli ang usapang pangkapayapaan sa pagitan gobyerno at ng komunistang grupo.
Sa isang briefing, idinagdag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na inatasan na ni Duterte si dating Pangasinan representative Hernani Braganza na ipaalam sa peace panel ng NDF ang mga kondisyong inilatag ng pangulo sa isinagawang pulong ng Gabinete noong Miyerkules ng gabi para mabuksang muli ang usapang pangkapayapaan.
“The President said he’s even able and willing to grant Joma Sison an assurance that he can come home without being arrested for the purpose of participating in the peace talks. Now former congressman Nani Braganza was deployed yesterday to meet with the bargaining panel of the CPP-NPA to relay this information to them,” sabi ni Roque.
Sa nakaraang pulong ng Gabinete, ipinaalam ni Duterte na pinayagan na niya ang muling pagbubukas ng usapang pangkapayapaan sa NPA-CPP-NDF kapalit ng ilang kondisyon.
“Number one, that the NPA-CPP-NDF would honor a genuine ceasefire that there should actually be no shooting if and when the peace talks resume; number two, that the CPP-NPA would desist from collecting revolutionary tax while a ceasefire is ongoing; and number three, is that the CPP-NPA would not insist on a coalition government because that is absolutely not part of the bargainingng table,” sabi ni Roque.
Iginiit ni Roque na mananatili ang bansag na terorista sa NPA hanggat walang pinal na pinipirmahang peace treaty.
