SUMUKO na ang lahat ng 10 akusado sa pagkamatay dahil sa hazing ng University of Santo Tomas law freshman na si Horacio “Atio” Castillo III sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) matapos ipag-utos ng Manila court ang pag-aresto sa kanila.
Kinumpirma ni NBI spokesman Atty. Ferdinand Lavin na sumuko ang 10 miyembro ng Aegis Juris fraternity sa bureau.
“Yes sir. (We are) still checking the circumstances surrounding the surrender,” sabi ni Lavin sa isang text message.
Idinagdag ni Lavin na pawang sumailalim na rin ang akusado sa 10 booking at medical procedure sa Death Investigation Division ng NBI.
Sinabi ni Lavin na sinundo ang 10 akusado sa isang hindi pinangalanang lugar ganap na alas-11 ng umaga.
Hindi naman malinaw kung kusang sumuko ang mga miyembro ng fraternity.
Nauna nang ipinag-utos ng Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 40 ang pag-aresto sa 10 akusado matapos makakita ng probable cause sa mga kasong inihain ng Department of Justice (DOJ) dahil sa paglabag sa Anti-Hazing Law.
