‘Simone Rota Story’ docu film Grade A sa CEB

FEEL na feel namin ang kagandahan ng puso ng football player na si Simone Rota pagkatapos naming mapanood ang award-winning documentary “Journeyman Finds Home: The Simone Rota Story” na idinirek nina Albert Almendralejo at Maricel Cariaga.
Tungkol sa struggles ni Simone bilang football player, isang Italian na may Filipino roots and his journey to play for the national team at ang paghahanap niya sa kanyang biological mother na isang Pinay.
Kukurutin ang puso ninyo ‘di lang ng kwento niya kundi ng kabutihan ng kanyang puso. No wonder, binigyan ng Grade A ng Cinema Evaluation Board ang movie.
Winner din ito ng Audience Prize sa 2018 European Philippine International Film Festival na ginanap sa Florence, Italy at nakuha sa 2018 Sinag Maynila Filmfest ang Special Jury Prize for “its rare depiction of the innate goodness of people which comes less frequently at a time when the wporld is becoming more jaded and cynical.”
“The main message of the documentary is I’d like to say that sports can inspire, can be a good way to the kids to have a chance in their life because in football it doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, you can play and it can change your life,” pahayag ni Simone.
Base na rin sa title ng docu film, he finally found his home. Nag-decide na raw si Simone na dito na sa Pilipinas manirahan forever and ever. At tiyak, mauunawaan naman daw siya ng kanyang adoptive Italian parents.
“I think Mom and Dad, they’re happy when they’re kids are happy. So, they feel and they know that my place will be here, and I will be back and forth to visit them,” ani Simone.
Komportable na raw kasi siya rito sa Pilipinas at nakikita na niya kung ano’ng buhay meron ang mga Pinoy na maaaring dahilan kung bakit napilitan ang kanyang ina na dalhin siya sa bahay-ampunan.
Regarding his lovelife, inamin niya that he’s meeting someone right now. He hopes that she will be the one for him. It’s about time na mag-look around na si Simone ng bagong mamahalin. Ilang buwan na rin naman nu’ng maghiwalay sila ng ex niya, ang 2013 Miss Universe 3rd runner-up na si Ariella Arida.
