JPE kasama sa lilitis kay Sereno

Malaki umano ang maitutulong ni dating Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile sa impeachment trial ni Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ayon kay House committee on justice chairman Reynaldo Umali malawak ang karanasan ni Enrile sa impeachment na siyang presiding judge ng ma-impeach si Chief Justice Renato Corona na hinatulang guilty dahil sa hindi pagdedeklara ng kanyang foreign currency savings sa kanyang Statement of Assets Liabilities and Networth.
“Pero kasi alam mo naman…. Being the first and the presiding judge noong Senate Impeachment Court at lalo’t higit sa issue ng SALN na ito… sila ang nagdesisyon ay malaking kalinawan at malaking tulong ang maibibigay niya sa prosecution team,” ani Umali.
Ganito rin ang paniniwala ni House Deputy Speaker Raneo Abu.
“As the House of Representatives is building an airtight impeachment case in the Senate, his (Enrile) vast experience, expertise and familiarity of the Constitution will help boost the prosecution’s mission to convict the Chief Justice,” ani Abu, stalwart ng Nacionalista Party.
