TAHASANG sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na wala siyang kinalaman sa impeachment complaint laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
“You can ask anybody — I never initiated ‘to si Sereno… Eh I just called her attention because of the so many cases pending tapos pa-iba ang decision niya,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang talumpati noong Martes ng gabi.
Ito’y sa harap naman ng inaasahang pagboto ng Kamara sa impeachment laban kay Sereno at ang nakatakdang pag-akyat nito sa Senado.
“‘Yung the very complaint now of the Justices. ‘Yun man ‘yon. O kita mo, ‘di lumabas rin.Congress, well, you be the judge. Hindi ako pwede. Executive department ako. Co-equal kami eh so hindi ako pwedeng mag-ano, Executive department lang ako,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
Naghain naman si Solicitor General Jose Calida ng petisyon kung saan hinihiling niya sa Korte Suprema na tanggalin si Sereno sa puwesto dahil umano sa hindi pagdedeklara ng kanyang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth (SALN).
“Pati projects, ang projects well, you know, hindi ko na kontrolado ha and you know why. Separate kami. ‘Yung project ng Supreme Court, sabihin niyo ako na naman nag-ano sa kanya,” giit pa ni Duterte.
