Egyptian, 4 Pinoy nasa kustodiya ng mga otoridad sa Zamboanga City

ISINAILALIM sa kustodiya ng mga otoridad ang isang Egyptian national, na nagtatrabaho sa isang non government group na nakabase sa Iligan City, kasama ang apat na Pinoy.
Sinabi ni Lt. Noriel Ramos, acting station commander ng Philippine Coast Guard sa Zamboanga City, na nakasakay si said Mohamed Shaabab Abdelaziz sa isang fastcraft habang hinihintay itong maglayag papuntang Isabela City, Basilan nang magdesisyon ang mga otoridad na imbitahan siya para matanong.
Nagpakilala si Abdelazis, na tubong Giza, Egypt, bilang isang volunteer para sa Uthman Bin Affan Foundation for Development, Relief, Da’wah and Education (UBAF), na nakabase sa Iligan City, ayon kay Ramos.
Base sa website nito na www.uthmanbinaffan.org, inilarawan ng organisasyon ang grupo bilang isang nonprofit organization na inirehistro sa Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) noong May 28, 2013.
Sinabi ni Ramos na base sa pahayag ni Abdelaziz at kanyang mga kasama, papunta sila sa Maluso para bumili ng bangka.
“Interpol and other intel counterparts are currently conducting tactical interrogation,” sabi ni Ramos.
Noong Enero 22, naaresto ng mga otordad ang 20-anyos na si Spanish national Abdelhakim Labidi Adib, 20, sa isang checkpoint ng militar sa Basilan.
