Walang humpay na pagtaas ng presyo nakaamba

  Naniniwala si Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate na ang pagtaas ng apat na porsyento ng inflation rate ay simula pa lamang ng kalbaryo ng taumbayan dahil sa Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion.     “It is likely that inflation this February and the coming months would be even higher because the 4% inflation in January is just the preliminary effect of the TRAIN Law. We still have to experience the highly inflationary effects of the excise tax on oil and coal as well as VAT on the sale, distribution and transmission of electricity of electric cooperatives,” ani Zarate.     Ang inflation rate ay ang laki ng itinaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin.     Nanawagan si Zarate sa Korte Suprema na pagbigyan ang kanilang petisyon na ihinto ang pagpapatupad ng TRAIN dahil sa irregular na pag-apruba rito ng Kamara de Representantes.     Ayon sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas tumaas ng apat na porsyento ang consumer prices noong nakaraang buwan, ito ang pinakamataas na pagtaas mula noong Oktobre 2014 at mas mataas sa inaasahan nilang 3.5 porsyento.     Noong Enero ay ipinatupad ang TRAIN na nagresulta sa pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo, sugar-sweetened drinks at iba pang produkto.
