Echo: Kung may role ako na kailangang mag-bikini gagawin ko!

SOBRANG feel na feel ni Jericho Rosales ang kanyang role sa “Siargao”, one of the official entries sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2017.

Why wouldn’t he feel that way, eh, perfect to a T ang kanyang character bilang isang surfer.

“It’s difficult to do shoot sa island na maganda talaga. It’s hard to focus especially for someone who surfs and enjoys the beach. May distraction talaga na nangyayari,” he said sa presscon.

When his female co-stars Erich Gonzales and Jasmine Curtis were asked kung hindi sila nailang umarte nang naka-bikini lang, Echo also provided an explanation and said, “Kapag nasa beach ka, ang pagsusuot kasi ng bikini ay nasa konteksto lang ‘yan eh. If you’re at the beach there’s no problem na mag-two piece ka. It’s difficult for someone who’s very conservative, who’s not…yung hindi talaga nagtu-two-piece, mahirap talagang umarte.

“But if you’re at the beach, depende sa konteksto ‘yun, eh. Kapag binigyan mo ng malisya ‘yung bikini, then uncomfortable na ‘yung surrounding. But we’re at the beach. You’re not gonna wear a suit at the beach. Our costumes sa beach for surfers is board shorts na halos nahuhulog na, halos nakikita mo na ‘yung puwet, ‘di ba? But there’s a reason why they were wearing that – you need to be loose pagdating sa surf board.

“I just want to correct the notion na kapag nag-bikini ka ay malaswa or nagpapa-sexy ka na. Whether you have a great body or a normal body, whatever age, you can wear a bikini. Kung may role ako na naka-bikini, I’d wear it. Kasi taga-beach kami, that’s our uniform – two-piece bikini and anything.”
