DU30 sinibak ang chair at 4 na commissioner ng isang Commission dahil sa junket
INIHAYAG ng Palasyo ang pagkakasibak sa mga commissioner ng Presidential Commision for the Urban Poor (PCUP) dahil umano sa pagiging notoryus sa junket.
Sa isang briefing, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na hindi ina-abolish ni Duterte ang PCUP kundi sinisibak lamang ang mga opisyal niyo.
“It is to fire, and not to abolish the Commission. The President said during the 84th anniversary celebration of the Department of Labor and Employment last December 8 that he would fire a commission. The commission he was referring to is the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor,” dagdag ni Roque.
Kabilang sa mga sinibak ay sina Terry L. Ridon, Chairperson; Dr. Melissa A. Aradanas, Dr. Joan A. Lagunda, Manuel L. Serra Jr., at Noe B. Indonto, pawang mga Commissioner ng PCUP.
Idinagdag ni Roque na bukod sa junket, hindi rin nagpupulong ang mga commissionet bilang isang collegial body.
“So, this kind of work performance has no place in the Duterte administration. We reiterate we are serious about the drive against corruption,” ayon pa kay Roque.
