Star Hotshots, Meralco Bolts sisimulan ang semifinals matchup

UUMPISAHAN ng Meralco Bolts at Star Hotshots ng kanilang duwelo sa pagbubukas ng 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-five semifinals ngayon sa Alonte Sports Arena sa Biñan, Laguna.
Mag-uunahan ang Bolts at Hotshots sa pagkuha ng unang panalo sa Game 1 ng kanilang semis series na isasagawa alas-6:30 ng gabi.
Hindi naman nagkukumpiyansa si Meralco coach Norman Black laban sa Star na sinabi nitong magbibigay sa kanila ng panibagong problema pagdating sa depensa.
“With Star, they have a lot of players who can score, a lot of locals contribute a lot,” sabi ni Black. “Not saying that their import is not good because he is, but the locals contribute a lot to their [cause].”
Aasahan ni Black si Allen Durham, na may iniindang ankle sprain, pati na sina Ranidel de Ocampo, Baser Amer, Chris Newsome, Cliff Hodge at Jared Dillinger para pamunuan ang Bolts.
Sasandalan naman ni Star coach Chito Victolero sina Kristofer Acox, Paul Lee, Ian Sangalang at Marc Pingris para pangunahan ang Hotshots, na agad lumusot sa semis matapos talunin ang NLEX Road Warriors, 89-77, sa kanilang quarterfinals duel.
Galing naman ang Meralco sa 104-96 panalo kontra Blackwater Elite noong Huwebes.
