SUNGKITIN ang ikalawang silya na may twice-to-beat incentive sa semifinal round ang puntirya ng nagtatanggol na kampeong De La Salle Lady Spikers sa pagsagupa nito sa mapanganib na University of Santo Tomas Tigresses ngayon sa UAAP Season LXXIX women’s volleyball tournament sa Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan.
Kasalukuyang nasa pangalawang puwesto ang La Salle na may 9-2 baraha sa likod ng nangungunang Ateneo (10-2). Nasa pangatlong puwesto naman ang UST (7-4) na may tsansa pang maagaw sa Lady Spikers ang No.2 spot.
Sa isa pang women’s game, magsasagupa ang Far Eastern University (5-6) at University of the East (1-10) umpisa alas-2 ng hapon kung saan pakay ng Lady Tamaraws na manalo at manatiling buhay ang tsansang makapasok sa Final Four.
Una munang magsasagupa sa men’s division ang may twice-to-beat incentive nang National University (10-1) at University of the Philippines (5-6) alas-8 ng umaga bago ang krusyal na laro sa pagitan ng UST (5-6) at La Salle (4-7) dakong alas-10 ng umaga. —Angelito Oredo
