MAGTUTUNGO ngayon ang apat kataong national juniors lawn tennis delegation upang sumabak sa Asia/Oceania Pre Qualifying ng 27th World Junior Boys and Girls Tennis Team Championships 2017 sa New Delhi, India na gaganapin simula Pebrero 27-Marso 4.
Papalo para sa bansa sa girls division sina Amanda Gabrielle “Gaby” Zoleta, Missy Carlos at Alexandra Eala na sasamahan ni Tom Falcis bilang coach ng team na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission.
Pagbabalik din ito sa internasyonal na kompetisyon ng 13-anyos mula Lucena City na si Zoleta matapos mamahinga noong isang taon dahil sa foot injury. Nakarami siya ng podium finishes sa mga age group meets sa Southeast Asia noong 2014 at 2015.
“She is focusing on making improvements on her net games and smashes. This is needed because the game are mostly doubles,” anang ama ni Zoleta na si Karl.
Ayon sa opisyal na website ng torneo, depende sa dami ng Asia/Oceania countries sa 2017 pre-qualifying events ang mga magku-qualify para sa WJTC Final Qualifying event sa Bangkok, Thailand sa Marso 20-Abril 1 kasama ang mga nakapasok ng Australia at New Zealand.
