Ethics complaint vs De Lima tuloy —Sotto

TULOY ang pagdinig ng Senate ethics committee hinggil sa reklamong inihain laban kay Sen. Leila de Lima matapos umanong pigilan ang kanyang dating aide at lover na si Ronnie Dayan na dumalo sa pagdinig ng Kamara.

Walang miyembro ng komite ang kumontra sa mosyon ni Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na pumasa sa form at substance ang inihaing reklamo ng liderato ng Kamara at ang pangalawang supplemental complaint na inihain ng abogadong si Abelardo de Jesus laban kay de Lima.
“There’s form and substance and jurisdiction on the complaints of the House of Representatives and the second supplemental complaint of Atty. De Jesus, violation of Article 50 of the Revised Penal Code,” sabi ni Sotto.
Idinagdag ni Sotto na nakatakda siyang mag-draft ng isang resolusyon na nag-aatas sa komite na bigyan si de Lima ng kopya ng reklamo.
“We will ask Senator De Lima to answer. We will give her 15 days upon her receipt to give us a reply and we’ll take it from there,” sabi ni Sotto.
Ibinasura naman ng komite ang dalawa pang reklamong inihain ni de Jesus laban kay delima hinggil sa pagkakasangkot niya sa iligal na droga nang siya ay kalihim pa ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
