INAPRUBAHAN ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang paghahain ng kaso laban sa dalawang matataas na opisyal ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na sangkot sa kidnaping at pagpatay sa South Korean national na si Jee Ick Joo.
Kabilang sa mga kinasuhan ng kidnapping-for-ransom with homicide ay sina Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) Ricky Sta. Isabel, SPO4 Roy Villegas at Ramon Yalung.
