‘Seklusyon’ walang special effects pero umabot sa P18-M ang budget
CAST NG “SEKLUSYON”
SA nakaraang grand presscon ng MMFF 2016 entry na “Seklusyon” na pinagbibidahan nina Ronnie Alonte, Jon Vic de Guzman, J.R. Versales, Phoebe Walker, Dominic Roque at Rhed Bustamante ay tinanong ang direktor nilang si Erik Matti kung magkano ang inabot ng pelikula considering na isa itong indie film.
“This film, we produced this independently. We usually co- produced with other companies, we’re co-producing with Viva the Anne Curtis movie, and we’-re co-producing with Star Cinema for our other movies.
“But with this one, this is solely produced by Reality Entertainment, wala kaming ibang players na pinasok, walang ibang studio na pumasok together with us and when we produced this film, we weren’t thinking of submitting it to MMFF.
“Originally, we have a different playdate and then, nu’ng nakita namin ‘yung line-up sa playdate and then we’re launching new actors, we realized maybe to be tough to find cinemas, mahirap maghanap ng sine kapag wala silang malaking artista na ilalagay, so we decided to join the filmfest.
“Regarding the budget, without promo and marketing, we produced this film for P18 million and then plus-plus pa,” ani direk.
Sabi pa ng direktor hindi nila ginamitan ng CGI o computer generated imagary ang “Seklusyon”, “Ako ang favorite kong mga horror na pelikula, wala talagang CG, walang computer effects kasi mas nararamdaman mo. Di ba, kapag nakakita ka ng monster na CG, parang nawawala ka sa realidad na eksena.
“Okay lang siya kung adventure na movie or action, pero for a horror, parang gusto mo talagang maramdaman ang horror.
“Ang horror, wala kaming one kill every 15 minutes, ‘yan ang uso na horror na parang Final Destination. Hindi ganu’n, na may isang papatayin, next scene may papatayin then next may papatayin na naman.
“And there’s some psychological parts in the movie, pero ‘yung horror niya talaga is nakakatakot, may gulat, may creepy, may tayong balahibo,” kuwento pa ni direk Erik.
Kaya sa mga manonood ng “Seklusyon”, tulad nga ng advice ni direk Erik yayain n’yo ang buong barkada na manood ng pelikula para in case may mangyari ay may kasama kayo.
Samantala, nagkaroon ng world premiere ang “Seklusyon” sa ginanap na International Film Festival and Awards sa Macau, China kamakailan at aminado ang direktor na iba ang inihain nila roon sa mapapanood natin sa Dis. 25 dahil may mga eksenang pinutol na para mapanood ito ng target audience nila sa MMFF 2016.
Mas maganda nga naman na maraming makapanood sa pelikula para mas malaki rin ang kikitain.
