Bato iniimbestigahan ng Ombudsman dahil sa kadaldalan

SA bibig mismo ni Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa nanggaling na inilibre siya ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao sa panonood ng laban nito sa Estados Unidos kaya siya iniimbestigahan ngayon ng Office of the Ombudsman.

Ayon kay Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales sinabi ni dela Rosa sa mga panayam sa media na inilibre siya at kanyang pamilya, na siyang pinagmulan ng imbestigasyon ng Ombudsman.

“We have started fact finding the case because it came from his mouth,” ani Morales sa  Meet the Inquirer Forum kahapon. “You catch a fish by its mouth.”

Sinabi ni Morales na hindi maaari na basta na lamang palagpasin ng Ombudsman ang mga ganitong insidente.

“He bragged about having gone there…. with his family and so what would the ombudsman do, let this pass? Our work is to see to it that there is no corruption.”

Iginiit naman ni Morales na hindi nito sinasabi na nagkasala si dela Rosa.

“So we are trying to figure out if he committed a crime at all. Kaya sabi ko there is possibility, I didn’t say that he is guilty, we are talking of possibilities here.”

Sa ilalim ng Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713) ipinagbabawal ang pagtanggap ng regalo ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno upang hindi nito maapektuhan ang kanilang pagganap sa kanilang trabaho.
