Dating Pangasinan gov na idinawit ni Duterte sa drug matrix sinuspinde sa kasong graft

Sinuspendi ng 90-araw ng Sandiganbayan Sixth Division si Pangasinan Rep. Amado Espino Jr., kaugnay ng kinakaharap nitong kasong graft.
Sa limang pahinang desisyon, sinabi ng korte na sapat ang batayan sa kahilingan ng prosekusyon na suspendihin si Espino kahit pa ang alegasyong ipinupukol sa kanya ay nangyari sa panahon ng kanyang panunungkulan bilang gubernador ng lalawigan.
“Wherefore, the prosecution’s Motion to Suspend the Accused Pendente Lite is hereby GRANTED, and accused Amado Espino Jr. is hereby directed to CEASE and DESIST from further performing and/or exercising the functions, duties and privileges of his position as Congressman of the Fifth District of Pangasinan or any other position he may now or hereafter be holding effective immediately upon receipt hereof and continuing for a period of ninety (90) days,” saad ng desisyon.
Ang kopya ng desisyon ay ipadadala kay House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na siyang naatasan na magpatupad nito.
Si Espino ay sinuspendi kaugnay ng kasong isinampa ng Office of the Ombudsman dahil sa pagpayag nito sa isang kompanya na magsagawa ng black sand mining noong 2011.
Ang kompanyang Alexandra Mining and Oil Ventures Inc., ay pinayagan umano kahit ito ay hindi rehistrado sa Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board at walang clearance mula sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
