PINIRMAHAN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Proclamation Number 50 kaugnay ng mga regular at special holiday para sa 2017.
Kabilang sa mga regular holiday sa susunod na taon ay New Year’s Day (Enero 1, Linggo); Araw ng Kagitingan, April 9 (Linggo); Maundy Thursday, Abril 13; Good Friday, Abril 14; Labor Day, Mayo 1; Independence Day, Hunyo 12 (Lunes); National Heroes Day, Agosto 28 (huling Lunes ng Agosto); Bonifacio Day, Nobyembre 30; Christmas Day (Disyembre 25); at Rizal Day (Disyembre 30, Sabado).
Samantala, kabilang sa mga pecial non working day sa 2017 ay ang Chinese New Year, Enero 28, Sabado; Edsa People Power Revolution Anniversary, Pebrero 25, Sabado; Black Saturday, Abril 15; Ninoy Aquino Day, Agosto 21, Lunes; All Saints Day, Nobyembre 1, Miyerkules; huling araw ng taon, Disyembre 31, Linggo; at karagdagang special non working day na Oktubre 31, Martes.
Regular holiday ang Eid’l Fitr at Eid’l Adha bagamat wala pang petsang itinakda.
“The proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha shall hereafter be issued after the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined in accordance with the islamic calendera (Hijra) or the lunar calender, or upon islamic astronomical calculations,” sabi ng Proclamation number 50.
